Planet Silea, 42 light years away from Earth. Research had shown Silea to be habitable for mammal life form. An expeditionary colonial task force was commissioned to setup a colony on Silea. If successful, the Silean Outpost would be first colony to be settled in deep space.

The mission was a success, and a colony was established on Silea within a week. The Scientists however, failed to account for the possible presence of alien life, on a habitable planet such as Silea. The construction of the colony drew the attention of the indigenous alien species, who viewed the outpost as a hostile invasion. The indigenous alien force launched a surprise attack on the unsuspecting colonist. The initial confrontation crippled the colony's defenses. The entire colonial force would be wiped out, in a matter of days upon discovery, hundreds of families, including a company of trained combatants.
